MCU calls from a group on the edge of the colony, ocassional calls from Great Black-backed and Herring Gulls, bee buzzing at times, faint surf. USE: W. British Isles. NW France. Iceland. NW Europe. TIME: As track 20.
23. Manx Shearwater ( Puffinus puffinus ) 4'28"
CU-distant calls from birds flying in off the sea to island burrows, at start of evening flight. CU wing-beats from mainly single birds, Oystercatchers call at start, calls from Lesser Black-backed and Herring Gulls, surf and waves breaking on shore in b/g. USE: Skomer and Skokholm in S. Wales, Rhum in W, Scotland. TIME: Night, June-August.
